The ICC is in the heart of Birmingham, located in a mall which is also home to the city’s Symphony Hall and connects the Convention Centre to lively canal-side Brindley Place and the rest of the city centre.

Accommodation

The headquarters hotel for the Birmingham Conference is the Hilton Garden Inn, right next to the ICC. Conference delegates can book at a special rate of £149 per night for a single-occupancy room, including VAT and breakfast. The conference rate will be available until 17 April,after which the hotel reserves the right to offer rooms subject to availability at the prevailing rate.

Getting to the venue

From Birmingham International Airport

Birmingham International Airport is one of the best connected in Europe. Over 50 airlines operate scheduled and charter services to more than 100 destinations including mainland Europe, North America, the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. The airport is only 8 miles from the city centre, and on arrival you can take the free, fast Air-Rail link to Birmingham International railway station and then catch a train to New Street station in Birmingham city centre, which takes about 10 minutes and operates up to 9 times an hour. Train tickets can be purchased from Birmingham International railway station and cost approximately £3.70 for a single journey.

Getting to the ICC from Birmingham New Street station

You can reach the ICC on foot from Birmingham New Street in approximately 14 minutes.

On arrival at New Street station, follow signs to main exits. Pass through the ticket barriers and follow the ‘Victoria Square’ exit signs. You will pass a shop called Boots on the left hand side.

Continue round the left hand corner past Delice De France.

On leaving New Street Station, you will see a coffee lounge on the left hand corner. Cross to the opposite side of the road past Piccadilly Arcade on your right hand side. Continue to the end of this street and then turn right onto Pinfold Street. Continue up Pinfold Street until you reach Victoria Square. Continue straight on passing the Town Hall on the left hand side. Head towards the steps leading towards Paradise Forum. Enter Paradise Forum and continue through to the opposite exit, leave the Forum and walk straight on. The ICC will be ahead of you.
